Eight Group Joins the Carbon Balanced Print Programme
1st September 2025 · 5 min Read
Eight Group has been working towards ensuring exceptional marketing goes hand in hand with environmental responsibility. From our B Corp certification to our carbon-neutral operations since 2021, Sustainability isn’t just something we think about, it’s at the heart of everything we do.
Today, we’re taking another significant step forward in our sustainability journey. From 1st September 2025, Eight Group officially becomes a Carbon Balanced Printer, joining the prestigious Carbon Balanced Paper Programme powered by World Land Trust and delivered by CarbonCO.
Building on Strong Environmental Foundations
Our commitment to environmental responsibility runs deep. Eight Days, the originating roots of Eight Group offering digital print and mail, has been carbon neutral since 2021 through a partnership with Carbon Neutral Britain. As we evolved into Eight Group, bringing together print, creative, consultancy, and digital marketing services, our sustainability commitments naturally expanded too.
This transition to Carbon Balanced Paper represents a comprehensive, group-wide commitment that spans every channel, every campaign, and every sheet of paper we produce. Our clients expect this level of environmental leadership, and we’re proud to deliver it.
Why Carbon Balanced Print Matters
As a Carbon Balanced Printer, our new programme supports verified conservation projects through World Land Trust, funding the protection of some of the most biologically significant and threatened habitats on Earth.
Our partnership with CarbonCO enables us to:
Offset unavoidable emissions related to print and paper production
Support global reforestation and forest protection projects in Mexico, Uganda, and Guatemala
Access verified carbon data for transparent customer reporting
Use the trusted World Land Trust mark on qualifying campaigns
Lance Hill, CEO of Eight Group, explains the decision: “Eight Days has been certified carbon neutral since 2021, which was in partnership with Carbon Neutral Britain. As our business evolved into Eight Group, we took time to evaluate our partnerships and alignments. As a fellow IPIA member, it made sense to switch to Carbon Balanced Paper and World Land Trust to ensure fuller measurement of our carbon footprint.“

Paul Opie, Partnership Director of CarbonCO, welcomed the partnership: “Eight Group’s commitment to sustainability is embedded as a pillar of their business, which makes a measurable difference as we transition to a low-carbon economy.“
The World Land Trust is a globally respected conservation charity (charity no. 1001291) dedicated to protecting the world’s most biologically significant and threatened habitats, acre by acre.
Since its foundation in 1989, the World Land Trust has played a pivotal role in preserving tropical forests and other endangered ecosystems. Their efforts have led to the protection of over 2,973,486 acres of land, the planting of more than 3,114,186 native trees, and the safeguarding of over 13,066 species. By supporting verified conservation projects in regions like Mexico, Uganda, and Guatemala, the World Land Trust ensures critical habitats are secured for future generations.
Through the Carbon Balanced Print programme, funds directly contribute to these conservation efforts, enabling us to reduce the environmental impact of your campaigns while supporting vital global reforestation and habitat protection. Direct mail in 2025: A cornerstone of effective marketing
Direct mail isn’t just a service we offer at Eight Days; it’s a core part of how we help businesses thrive. Even in 2025, amidst a sea of digital communication, this proven marketing tool continues to build lasting connections and deliver exceptional results.
How a Multi-Channel Marketing Strategy Drives Growth
Marketing is evolving fast and multi-channel strategies are redefining how brands connect every day. In this landscape, it’s no longer about picking a single channel, launching one campaign, or repeating the same message. True impact is made by connecting every touchpoint, online and offline, and building a brand presence that feels both seamless and authentic.
Today’s most impactful marketing doesn’t happen in silos, it thrives in a cohesive ecosystem where digital and physical channels work together to engage, convert, and retain customers at every stage. Integrated multichannel marketing enables your brand to maximise every interaction, strengthen connections, and drive measurable growth by meeting people where they are.
