A little about me
I live in Leeds with my two rescue cats, Poppy and Rosie, who couldn’t be more different if they tried. Poppy is a six-year-old long-haired tabby I found as a tiny, poorly kitten at Leeds Market. She’s fully recovered and now spends her evenings doing zoomies before settling on the sofa for snuggles. Rosie is ten, fiercely independent, and officially listed at the vets as a Problem Cat. She comes home at night for a warm bed and then she’s off again.
My daughter Charlotte has just bought her first home in York, which I love visiting, though somehow I always leave with paint on my hands and a longer to-do list than I arrived with. Outside of family life, I keep active with outdoor bootcamp three mornings a week (rain, snow and freezing fog included), regular runs and a Thursday evening trail walking group. My garden keeps me equally busy. I have a fruit patch, more hanging baskets than is probably sensible, and a greenhouse base that has been patiently waiting for an actual greenhouse since the start of the year.

Experience & Knowledge
I have worked in the printing industry for 35 years mainly in customer services but have spent time in many departments from purchase ledger, credit control, wages through to costing. Working across different areas of the business has helped me understand the bigger picture. Appreciating the pressures teams face internally, as well as the expectations clients have externally. That balance allows me to manage print projects with care and consideration at every stage.
I’ve worked with clients from across all sectors, adapting to different requirements and delivering consistent service regardless of scale or complexity.
Proudest moment working for Eight Plus
There are quite a few but I think the main one was when I was taken on as a full time team member, as I had been working in a consultancy role for two years. Being asked to move into a full-time position meant a great deal to me. It reflected the trust placed in me and the value I bring to the team and our clients.
Why do I love working for Eight Plus?
Knowing I can rely on my team professionally and personally. Having that support network makes a real difference. We each bring different strengths and experiences, and together we deliver the very best outcomes for our customers.
What makes Eight Plus special?
Each member of the team has a different set of skills and also many years experience in the printing industry. That depth of experience means our clients benefit from collective knowledge, practical advice and solutions that truly fit their printing needs.
What I love about the print industry
This industry is so varied. Every project brings new requirements and opportunities. No two jobs are ever the same. I enjoy the challenge of understanding what a client needs and seeing that project come to life.
What moment am I most proud of?
I’m proud of every job that gets delivered. For me, it’s about consistency. Every successful delivery represents teamwork, attention to detail and a commitment to doing things properly. That’s what continues to motivate me after 35 years in the industry.
