In recent years, we took on a new client: Norfolk’s leading coach travel company has over 70 years of experience, but they needed our help.

The client had never looked at their overarching business plan in any depth or reviewed their marketing in detail. They had used the same suppliers for decades, always receiving the same level of service and paying the same, ever-increasing prices.

First off, we reviewed the company’s business plan and ran a complete audit of its data. With access to the customer database, the Eight Days A Week team were able to analyse, segment and identify which leads would be most likely to take further action. This resulted in a smaller, but more targeted list for mailings, reducing costs and increasing response rates.
The redesign

We worked with a design team to create a new, stand-out brochure with strong branding and easy-to-read layouts. Colour coding was used to clearly define the sections inside and we employed sustainable paper packing to make a positive impact the moment it landed on customer doormats.
Addressing objectives

Our client’s usual mode of promotion was a large, poly-wrapped multi-item mailing, containing their main brochure and a swathe of leaflets. They weren’t giving their customers enough encouragement to buy, shouting about their USPs or heritage, or making it easy to book – and the format of the package didn’t qualify for any mailing discounts. Their mailpack needed a design refresh and some strategic thinking to make the company appear modern, accessible and attractive.
